Copperweld was recently invited by the International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI) to discuss Copper-Clad Aluminum (CCA) conductors on its IAEI News Live podcast.

The weekly program is hosted by Tom Domitrovich, a well-known expert in the electrical field who specializes in circuit protection.

Peter Graser, Copperweld’s Vice President for Building Wire – Codes & Standards, addressed how the industry and AHJ’s sometimes misunderstand the proper installation methods and metallurgical properties of CCA. Additional topics included the history of CCA, electrical connections, NEC references, and product safety standards.
