Medical (FSA & HSA)

Copperweld offers competitive options of medical insurance plans so that you can choose the one that best meets the needs of you and your family. Whether you choose our PPO or HDHP, you can choose to participate in an FSA or company funded HSA to offset costs that come up throughout the year.

Dental

Copperweld provides a dental plan you may elect to cover yourself and your family at an affordable rate. Our dental plan provides both in-network and out-of-network coverage.

Vision

Copperweld provides a vision plan you may elect to cover yourself and your family at an affordable rate. Our vision plan provides both in-network and out-of-network coverage.

Voluntary Benefits

Copperweld offers voluntary insurance for Accidents, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity. Though we boast a robust medical plan, these supplemental options can provide further financial assistance when you need it most. The cancer plan pays you a cash benefit to help with the costs associated with treatments, to pay for daily living expenses – and more importantly – to implore you to seek the care you need.

Basic and Voluntary Life Insurance

Basic and Voluntary Life insurance policies are offered to Copperweld employees. This benefit aims to provide financial assistance in the event of death of a covered employee or his/her participating family member.

Short-Term & Long-Term Disability

Copperweld benefit elections also consider time away from work for a qualifying serious illness or injury. When you are experiencing health issues, short and long term disability insurance provides supplemental income until you’re back on your feet again.

Business Travel / Accident

Copperweld provides business travel accident coverage to all eligible full-time employees through The Hartford Life and Accident Company. All employees are enrolled automatically and 100% of the cost for the plan is paid by Copperweld. The business travel accident coverage provides you with a benefit equal to 5 times your base annual salary to a maximum of $750,000 in the event of your death while traveling on company business.

401K

Plan ahead with retirement savings! Copperweld employees can participate in a 401k safe harbor plan as early as the first day of the month following their hire date! Participants are eligible for an established company match at dollar for dollar.

Roth IRA

A Roth IRA is a type of retirement savings account that Copperweld offers allowing team members to contribute after-tax income, meaning you pay taxes on the money before you deposit it into the account. The big advantage is that once the money is in the Roth IRA, it grows tax-free, and you can generally withdraw it tax-free in retirement, provided certain conditions are met. There are also specific rules regarding contributions, income limits, and withdrawal requirements, but it's a popular choice for many of our team members looking to save for retirement.
